Hyperpigmentation
Pigment spots are color changes on the skin caused by an excess of skin pigment, or hyperpigmentation. As a rule, it is the natural skin pigment melanin, but sometimes it is also another exogenous or endogenous pigment. The most common cause of skin hyperpigmentation is UV radiation, natural aging, hormonal changes, or skin changes due to inflammation.
