Thread Composition
Aptos threads are made from polylactic acid (PLA), polycaprolactone (PCL), and hyaluronic acid (HA).

PLA: High tensile strength, supports skin renewal, stimulates collagen production, and is biocompatible and absorbable.
PCL: Elastic, causes no discomfort, and has a slow biodegradation rate.
HA: Hydrates, brightens the skin, and enhances elasticity.

Thread Design
The patented thread design helps prevent breakage. The thread features bidirectional, opposing barbs along its length, which anchor securely in the subdermal tissue. This provides a more pronounced lifting effect, improves skin laxity, and ensures long-lasting results.

The treatment

Before the procedure, you will have a consultation with the doctor. No special preparation is needed for the APTOS thread lift. However, it is recommended to stop taking blood thinners and vitamin E one week before and after the treatment.

After marking the thread placement, the area is numbed with local anesthesia. The procedure itself takes about 30 minutes, and your total time at the clinic will be approximately 1 hour.

After the treatment

After the treatment, you may experience pain, swelling, temporary asymmetry, mild skin irregularities, dimpling, or minor bruising. These side effects usually resolve within a few days. It is advised to avoid intense physical activity for about 14 days and maintain a gentle, recovery-focused routine for the first 3–4 weeks.

Since outcomes depend on the quality of the skin and subcutaneous tissue, patients with more advanced skin laxity may not achieve optimal results with threads alone.
